Speak Confidently and Transform the World

Legacy Speech & Debate Club

This club was birthed from the legacy of Dakota Miller, a 17 year old, who competed in Stoa passionately with his Colorado club for 4 years, until he entered into eternal rest in October 2023. The Miller family would now like to share their son’s passion, here in the community of Lancaster, so that his memory will live on and our community of homeschoolers can experience the enormous benefits from Stoa that Dakota Miller did.

The vision to bring Stoa to Pennsylvania grew after Dakota’s best friend from PA stepped in to debate with David, Dakota’s debate partner. As Dakota often said, “everyone needs to do speech and debate.” Through that experience, families saw the need for strong local Stoa opportunities in Pennsylvania.

Lancaster County continues to grow rapidly, now with multiple local clubs and online opportunities through Legacy. As we carry this vision forward, our desire is to stay firmly rooted in Christ while building a legacy that impacts future generations.
